Allison Janney bio
Allison Brooks Janney (born April 14th, 1970) is an American actor. She is known for her roles on stage and screen. She's also been nominated for two Tony Awards and has won an Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award as well as the Golden Globe Award, and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. After spending almost 20 years performing in regional theater as an actress, Allison Janney became a household name playing White House press secretary C.J. Gregg C.J. Gregg in The West Wing (1999-2006) the acclaimed and popular television drama. Allison Janney was always a late stager. She didn't get her driving license until she turned 17 - a full year longer than the majority of her fellow students from Ohio. It wasn't until she was in university that she had her first dating experience. Even though she began auditioning at age 23 Faris didn't start appearing onscreen until she was in her 30s. Faris has been very selective in her roles following her departure from Mom in the year 2020. The exception to this is 2022's The Estate. Faris has told PEOPLE specifically she was not making this her decision. Anna Faris is leaving her CBS sitcom Mom in the middle of the 8th season. Faris originally said she wanted to leave the CBS sitcom Mom to tackle new problems. But, she reveals more about why she returned to acting. Janney is a regular on the show and has always had a wig on. Fallon added, "So, now everybody know that Janney's worn the wig on the show since it started. Janney plans to keep her wig for a memory. In the beginning of her show, Janney was able to earn anywhere between $125,000 and the amount of $250,000 for each episode. Faris earned an estimated $200 for each episode during the fourth and third seasons.
