Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, Puy-deDomme France in August 9th 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child of 4 children. Audrey's parents as a dentist and a teacher, recognized and supported their daughter's passion for acting and drama on the age of a stage novice. This support is more than enough for Audrey to combat her desire to become primatologist. When she was a teenager, her rise to stardom was rapid and marked with initial recognition and success. Following her studies in 1998 she took part in a French talent-scouting TV programme Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning her acting career in earnest. While she attended The Institut Catholique de Paris and attended church in her youth Tautou is now averse to the Catholic tradition, saying that she's not Catholic. In addition to her acting profession, she has also pursued modelling. The model was in the commercials for L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and is known as "The Chanel Muse". Recently, at the Arles Arts Festival she exhibited a collection of photographs under the heading Superficial. Her photos are mostly about famous people and celebrities. The exhibit also includes a collection of self portraits and also. Audrey Tautou shot to stardom and international fame with her first big role, starring as the lead in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie won international acclai box office success and was recognized at award ceremonies all over the world. It's the most-grossing French film made in America. The popularity of the film brought Tautou into a wide range of roles, from British dramas like Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
