She was born in Roswell on the 29th of March 1985. Gerina Michelle Mendoza is her birth name. Gerina Stevenson was born to Mexican parents Rita Stevenson (mother) and Alan Stevenson (father). She is Mexican and American. From the time she was a kid, she's had a keen desire to participate in activities. Gerina first started golfing at 15 years of age. Gerina completed her high school education through Goddard High School. She was the winner of the New Mexico State Golf Tournament during her time in high school. The volleyball abilities of her were acknowledged at the national stage. She attended the University of Texas, Texas in the academic year. In her senior year, she won each tournament she entered. In the course of her undergraduate studies she was awarded the title as Conference USA Female Athlete and Conference USA Individual Player of the year.
